Today, many people regard maths as a key factor leading to success in a business. From my point of view, maths is useful for businessman if they want to achieve success but it’s not the only factor deciding if the business is successful or not.
On one hand, if the businessmen have good maths skills, they will be able to calculate their capital amount and operating costs to choose wisely whether they should do the business or not. Moreover, by the judgment skills of maths, they will be able to predict the market volatility so they can hand perfect solutions to all the problems they would meet.
On the other hand, I believe that one can run their business successfully without excellent maths skill, and the billionaire Jack Ma - the president of Alibaba and one of the most affluent people in the world with a net worth of $61.4 billion, is a particular example in this case. He said at an interview before that he was not good at maths and for then he couldn’t read the accounting reports. However, it’s undeniable that he’s one of a few people who achieve a successful business and has a massive influence in the world.
In a nutshell, I am of the belief that an entrepreneur can be driven to success not only by good maths skills but also some other personalities and skills, for instance, risk-taking, good communication skills and some lucks. Therefore, if one wants to own a successful business, they should focus on learning some interpersonal skills more, so that their percentage of business success can be much higher than if they only have good maths skills.
Mathematics is supposed as one of main subjects taught in school because of its importance for some career and daily life. To run business, beside knowledge related to business the owner of course need to know math at least basic calculation for control and management.
Some people believe that the business owner need to know math if they want to run private business well because math will help the owner to control operation expenses and calculate the profit or loss in time in order to bring right decision out suitable with reality situation of business. Besides that, math can supply the detailed spreadsheet to analyse deeply all costs used for business then not know match how the owner can manage and promote business development. Math is not only needed in commerce but also in production such as math will calculate and show up what kinds of material with necessary quantity that make up quality products but low price, bring more profit for business of course. Above that, math mostly is associated with logical thinking that business persons use to create success in their life.
However, some people seem to have special skills in running business even they have not gotten enough knowledge about math. With experiences in the marketplace, they can predict exactly the time to launch their products into market and make plan on beating the competition of competitors. Furthermore, some business do not need math but career skills and passion. For example, a woman got more success in plant breeding and selling to farmers or few people take advantages of their passion about career to develop business such as painting nail, making embroidery, sand picture…that bring big income for them.
In conclusion, math combine with logical thinks are important factors to make substantial success for business as its operation mostly is inherent in controlling, counting expenses, revenue…the factors make up profits to promote the development.
Nowadays, maths is very popular in the test to entrance in the university, so to be a business maths is important too.
First of all, maths help the business in calcuting the number and avoid the unnecessary mistakes. It also helps business to see increase or decrease in the business process,so that we know how to promote strengths and limit disavantages to help the company improve better.
In the other hand, select funding sources, choose the mode of business leverage to mobilize capital, to preserve and develop capital sources, improve the company's income.
Last but not least, the information provided by the accounting department is essential to the administrator, as it helps them make business strategies and decisions. Therefore, if incorrect accounting information will lead to inappropriate management decisions, enterprises may fall into a difficult situation.
In conclusion, thorough analysis will help operators make effective business decisions, authorities will quickly save time, create good conditions for production and business activities. As you can see, the math helps the sales department a lot to help the company grow.
I agree with that idea. Because to be a businessman we need to know many things, good at many subject special: maths. Because we need maths to calculate about the interest rate or the losses. The businessman need maths to calculate to make their company interest rate. They need maths to think when co-operate with other company to take the benefit for both. Business owners like to select candidates with high EQ (emotional intelligence index) and appreciate this candidate's ability by using maths in the test. Mathematics helps us to broaden our horizons and to realize that to find the truth, we have only one and only one path, which is the analysis first and the final conclusion. So very important for the businessman. The businessman need maths because it'll help them to not waste money in somethings not need for their company. Technology is constantly being updated and changing the way we live and work. If you do not want your child to always rely on manuals or hire an expert because of fear of pressing the wrong button, math is the answer to help your child build his or her understanding. how everything is around so that's why Math is essential in today's rapidly changing times so the businessman need to think before they do somethings. They think about the benefit and the harmful with their company. They need maths to don't be fooled by other people.

It is suggested that in order to be successful in business, a person has to possess the ability to learn mathematics excellently. In my opinion, I disagree with this view, for there are other major factors determining the success of a business that an individual should have, which I will outline now.
First of all, we must consider the main factor is leadership. Organizations that take the lead to compete with others are guided by outstanding leaders. These people who are charming and persuasive could easily inspire the employees and gather their beliefs. If one lacks these characteristics, it is difficult for him to manage his people and the company hardly establishes a fine reputation on the market. For example, a boss who always reproaches his staff rather than motivating them to achieve would not earn respect from them. Therefore, the staff will not fulfill commands and always make mistakes when dealing with tasks. Whereas, a qualified boss is the one providing directions for a company and its workers, and it involves showing workers how to effectively perform their responsibilities and regularly supervising the completion of their tasks.
The other factor that influences the success of a business is a great vision. An individual needs to recognize the opportunities in the market to seize them and lead the company to the top. An example of this could be seen in Apple Company Incorporated. Many years ago, laptops were heavy and bulky, which caused difficulties for users to carry them whenever they travel. Understanding this, Steve Jobs and his company came up with MacBook Air, the laptop model that was super-light and compact which brought the company considerable sales and became the standard in designing laptops that other manufacturers follow until now.
In conclusion, my firm conviction is that leadership and vision are the two key traits of a person in deciding the success of a business. Without these, a corporation will not move forward in the commercial race.

It is generally the case that mathematical skills have contributed to the success of entrepreneurs. While this notion may be reasonable for some businessmen, I opine that for many successful companies nowadays, employers do not need to do the calculations themselves.

Many people regard math skills as a key factor to achieve success in business as it facilitates the decision making process. However, I believe it is only one out of various factors that contribute to business success and therefore non-essential.
On the one hand, math enables key people to make better decisions. One application of business mathematics is to provide statistics that can predict future scenarios. These predictions might lay a firm foundation for more informed and evidence-based decisions, replacing biased ones based on managers’ gut feelings. For decades, Unilever has utilised a statistical model that can forecast the supply and demand of fast-moving consumer goods, allowing the company leaders to promptly plan production and sales of each product category.
On the other hand, I believe that one can run a business successfully without excellent math skills. In fact, many entrepreneurs have built billion-dollar enterprises thanks to great personal qualities. A good example in this case is Nguyen Thanh Duc, the chairman of NTD Group. He was known to be a disruptive student that failed almost all school subjects including math, yet he rose to become an inspirational leader who could motivate his employees to strive to gain collective success for the corporation. In addition, his success is attributed to the courage to take the risks that rational calculations, such as those that guide Unilever, would rule out. As these leadership qualities concurred with a good fortune, his startup has evolved into a multinational business empire, becoming market leaders in many industries including real estate, fishery and forestry.
In conclusion, although statistical math could help make better decisions, I am of the opinion that risk taking, inspirational personality traits and luck are crucial to drive an enterprise to success. That is why business schools should focus more on honoring interpersonal skills including leadership and communication.
