Hey, guys. I'm surrounded by a whole bunch of toddlers here. The six little McGhees. Josiah, Madison, Olivia, Isaac, Elijah, and Rosana Jr.
They're here with Rosana Sr., dad, and Mia—the parents. They are just adorable. They’re playing great right here. And these six kids are getting used to this because you guys have this new reality show on OWN.
Yes. "Six little McGhees. " How did that happen?
Well, we were on the Oprah show in 2011 and, um, we received so many overwhelming responses from viewers and things. And they were like, how you know, we were inspirational. So we were like, okay, well…
What's inspiration is how well-behaved these kids are. They are having a ball right here, but they're going through the “terrible 2s” right now.
Yeah, they are.
How do you do it? It’s hard enough for us with one at my home!
It's overwhelming. What I try to do is, like,-- I try to be a kid myself. Play with them a lot. They like that. So, yeah.
You seem to have a kind of inner calm right there, as they all sort of scamper around you. Tell me about the moment when you found out you were having not one, not two, not three, but six kids.
Scary. It was scary. It was overwhelming. I was, you know…we waited for a family for so long. You know… You tried for a while, right? Yeah, we have. Our first attempt, we lost the twins. And now, we have the six. It was just overwhelming for me.
I was shocked. But now, I'm grateful. I bet you are. They're healthy. They're beautiful.
They get along. Although, he does not want to give up that Furby.
He does not. He’s the oldest, so he is the boss. He thinks. So he thinks.
And how does a typical day happen? Like, if this were 8:30 in the morning at home, and we're looking at beautiful pictures of you and the whole family, how would you possibly corral all these kids for breakfast? Oh! Sorry Pal!
We have a routine. We have a system still in place. We get them up really early, about 6:00 every morning. Isaac! Sorry. But yeah, we get them up really early. So they're used to being up early. And, you know, when they get up, they have breakfast. So every day we do that.
And the show is going to follow all your adventures as you raise these kids.
Yes. Going into the terrible 2s.
All right, well, they're not so terrible this morning. A lot of energy. There is a lot of energy. You're going to run them. See if they get a nap by this afternoon.
Uh-oh. You do not have to give it up. Thank you all for coming. It’s called the six little Maghees, it premiers this Saturday on OWN, the Opera Winfrey network, and you can see more of the Maghees sextuplets at Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo. Thanks guys!
