AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led non-profit organization. It focuses on developing youth leadership by offering young people under the age of twenty five the opportunity to take part in international internships, experience self-leadership and participate in a global learning environment. AIESEC was established in 1948 in seven countries in Europe. After more than 65 years, AIESEC is now present in over 120 countries and territories and is still growing.
AIESEC in Vietnam was founded in 2006 with three branches in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang. From the early days until now, AIESEC has been promoting leadership activities, international internships and volunteer experiences among youth in Vietnam. With the cooperation of international students coming from the global AIESEC network, AIESEC in Vietnam organizes activities such as indoor camps, workshops or outdoor events to facilitate an international environment where young Vietnamese members can share ideas, learn from one another and make friends both locally and globally. Every week, members of small groups meet to discuss ideas for projects and other relevant issues among young people. Thanks to this organization, many young people in Vietnam have improved their abilities to present, cooperate and lead and have become more confident to be responsible global citizens.
